COLAMY ATLAS Ergonomic Mesh Office Chair Cap.300lbs
The positive reviews from bloggers match what you get. The materials of the chair are really high quality. The chair is heavy. There is a lot of metal in the design, the plastic is high quality. The assembly is very simple and clear. This is the first chair that I was able to adjust to suit myself perfectly. It goes down quite low, which is good because I have short legs and a wide top. I am 175 cm tall and weigh 95 kg. The seat itself is perfect for my weight - it is moderately dense and has a lot of padding. The lumbar support is not perfect, but it is definitely better than any gaming chairs. The headrest is just super. The armrests are like in gaming chairs, they work when you sit up straight, but not in a lying position. I bought the chair for $ 250 and for this money I am completely satisfied with it at the moment. It is more comfortable than the gaming chairs from DXRacer and Cybeart, which I had.
After using a Secret Labs Titan Evo 2022 for a couple of years and trying a couple of chairs which didn't fare much better, I decided to try the Atlas after hearing good things about it. The chair is comfortable on the back and lumbar - a lot of people report that the lumbar support is uncomfortable but I personally feel it is fine.
The height of the chair is great as it has more adjustment range than most chairs I have used. I'm a short guy, so I'm glad that I can raise the chair to a comfortable level at my desk while still being able to keep my feet on my footrest.
The only reasons I've given this chair 4 stars because I can't give it 4.5 stars and the chair would have to be absolutely perfect for a 5 star score.
There are two issues I have: 1 - I have had to buy padding to go over the arm rests - they are rock hard and quite uncomfortable after expended periods of use, leaning to elbow and wrist pain on my mouse hand. 2: The backrest tilt lock doesn't have very many locking levels, so it's hard to find a sweet spot between being pushed forward too much or falling back too much.
Really, these are very minor gripes and relatively easy to deal with. This is an exceptional chair, especially for its price. It punches above its weight in quality, functionality and ergonomics with some of the most intuitive chair controls I've ever seen. I can't think of anything better in terms of quality or comfort for the same price.
Colamy, if you read this and are planning a follow up to this wonderful chair, please consider softer gel armrests similar to the Secret Labs Titan. Also, please add more tilt locking levels, especially in the more upright range. If you do those things, you'll have made the perfect office chair imo.
First, the build quality is great. Helps with posture when using your mouse and keyboard. Arm rest are strong and has perfect height and side to side adjustment. The only thing I would like changed is the lumbar support. It’s just plastic and when you lower the lumbar support the rail holding it will start digging into your back. But I will still be giving this a Perfect rating because of the price and heavy duty build quality.
PS. If anyone knows how to remove the lumbar support please post a video on YouTube.
Going from a gameing chair to this is feels different but that's what I was looking for hopefully this chair might help with my Sitting posture. Also night and day difference in build quality 👌. Found this chair on a btod.com YouTube video. If you want a video review look up btod colamy atlas. Assemblies pretty straightforward comes with everything you need A+ in that department too.
